I've received a newsletter from Carlson which advertises "purchase precision 3d topo this week and save $595". As i'm interested in this product i'm searching a bit.
Currently it lists at 1000$. My thought is that is would cost $405 this week. After consulting my rep he says they will increase the price to $1595 next week because of additional functionality.
Very misleading this kind of advertising, they let you think you'll be doiong a bargain but are paying the exact amount for the software as the previous months
Sounds to me if you are really serious about purchasing this software...you should do it this week otherwise you will have to pay an additional $595.
You could call that a savings if you want - or not.
It would suck if they didn't tell anybody and raised the price right before selling you a license.
But it is definately not a promo from my perspective.
Personally I don't think it's very misleading. Actually it's pretty typical advertising.
It's your responsibility to call Carlson up and ask them about the "Introductory pricing".
Carlson could have written it more clearly, but they are correct if you buy it this week you will save $595.00.
Do you have to pay to upgrade to the new functions? That is where it could be misleading.
