We use LGO for all our RTK survey data. We have the same version of the software on two computer stations. Both stations are connected to a network server. We store the project on the server.
When you open a project there is no function to browse. Instead you see only the projects created on the individual station. We would like to be able to see any project from either station. Has anyone encountered this?
Thanks
Hack
make sure you are moving, copying, registering, etc. all projects through the project management tool in LGO. if you do it in file explorer, LGO doesn't know it and makes it behave like a project is lost
There us a file that maintains project registration information for LGO. I dont recall the name and location but im sure someone here does. It used to be easier to post that file to the server and let folks grab it as needed. It stays locked when the program is open and prevents most train wrecj scenarios.

We aren't moving, copying etc. We start a project file on PC 1 stored to a folder on our server. You can browse when you set up the project and store anywhere you want. Walk down the hall PC 2 and start LGO. When you open a file you get the attached screen which has no ability to browse but lists only projects that were started there.

I think you have to unregister the project on PC1 and then register it on PC2. This for for two stand alone licenses. I believe they also offer a network license which MAY allow what you want to do, but that is only a guess.

Seems pretty foolish. We have two paid for licenses.
No different than Autocad or Carlson. We have multiple users all pulling off the same server. They are all standalone licenses. Anyone can work on the dwg just not at the same time.
We really are not fans of there software. Crews don't like Smartworx at all. Their hardware is A1 but the software leaves something to be desired.
Hack, I'm pretty sure you simply need to 'register' the project. I think you right click your mouse to register a project and then go to the directory the project is in and click on the project. That computer will then remember the registration.
I can access projects from any computer we have LGO loaded.
Hack-
Don't give up on Leica, I'm sure we can figure this one out. I do believe it has to do with the registering of the projects. This prevents it being opened up on 2 computers at the same time.
As far as the Smartworxs software goes, have you tried Leica's new Captivate Software? It is extremely easy and powerful and I have testimonials from Trimble and Carlson users that it is the most user friendly software they have used. Also FYI LGO has been discontinued and replaced with "Infinity"
Hack,
As others have said, to open a project on a computer you must firs register. This is done in the through the project tool in the management tab. Simple right click and choose register. From there you can browse your network to find the required project. You only need to do this once and you can have the same project registered on multiple machines. When you are finished with the project you can unregister it by highlighting it, right click and choose unregister. The only thing I hate about this is that the project coordinate system is not retained in the project files so you need to specify it every time you register it to a different computer.
Good luck
Thanks All ! We'll give your suggestions a try.
