In Land Desktop 3, is there a way of taking a line representing the edge of a pad and projecting it to the natural ground surface at a specified slope representing the backslope of a cut. I'm not having much luck at finding the command to do this.

Thanks,
James

LDD3 Grading Object

You need the civil design module loaded. Look for a pulldown for "Grading". Use the "grading wizard", it walks you through all the steps you need.

Thanks Tim, We don't have the Civil module so that is where it went. I know I have used that command before but it must have been Eagle Point.

Yep, there were some key commands that were not in Land Desktop itself (at least until it became "C3D Land Desktop Companion", maybe in 2008 or so...?), and had to be purchased separately in the Civil module. Some of the stuff we used the most was the Alignment/Profile stuff and Alignment Template stuff, which were only in the Civil module.
