Hi Everybody,

I want to move the "elev" "attribute or field" (not sure what they are called), but it is the part of the AECC point that holds the elevation.

I have one dwg where I can use the standard "move" command to move the attribute, while keeping the marker node in the same place.

In the second dwg, when I do that, it wants to move the node as well.

Question: what setting do I need to change in order to be able to move the elev without moving the node?

Thanks,

Steve (C3D 2009 LDC)

In past versions of autocadd, one could just drag the point number, elev, and desc bundle off in any direction and a leader would automatically appear for the node. We chanced the node dot to X's to mark the node

Point Settings -> Update tab -> Allow Points to be MOVE'd in Drawing

If this option is checked, the MOVE command will move the point. If it is not checked, it will just move the label, leaving the marker in the same location.
