Anyone use a laptop mount in their truck they like? How well does it handle popping a curb or off roading on a bumpy path? I have asked numerous cops over the years what they think of their mounts and the results vary. Figured I would ask people that do what I do instead. Thanks.

I had one from ebay for years, and it worked okay. When I set up my new work truck, I sprang for a RamMount laptop mount, and I am very, very pleased with it. It is much more sturdy, holds the laptop much more securely, and is adjustable.

It is pricey, but worth it in my opinion, if you use a laptop on the truck very much. I would highly suggest getting the following extra items:

removable base (allows the mount to be removed from the truck if need be) about $50
adjustable screws/knobs for the laptop holder - about $12
Laptop screen support - about $12-$16

I bought my parts individually, and it ended up costing more, but it is set up just the way I wanted.

I second the RAM Mount. We have them in a few of our trucks and have had no issues so far.
