Im trying to get my logo in Carslon. I have a png file with a transparent background. I'm still in the early stage of learning Carlson, so I have the feeling this is a dumb question. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Insert using the Xref manager. Opening that, in the upper left corner of the box, is a drop down marked dwg with a down arrow beside it. When you pick on the down arrow, it lets you choose other kinds of files, like image files. I would think you could insert a .png file into a drawing this way.

I just gave that a go. Only options were a dwg, Dxf or dwt

you should be able to drag and drop .png file into cad window to insert.

you wanted it to be transparent (i think only B/W tif can be transparent), convert to tif or move png logo to back.

The png itself is transparent according to the logo maker (background also changes colors when you click it on your phone as if it is transparent. The problem I have now is when I bring it into Carslon and submit to plot the background of my logo is black like my screen. Any thoughts?

Long shot, but if you go to the Image manager, and turn off the image frame, (set to 0), maybe that would take away the background? Just chunking Ideas...

I believe i figured out the transparency issue. There is a setting when attaching the image to select use transparency and it will then show the image as intended but only problem now is the outline box around the image still shows up

Try changing the Carlson color of the image to 255. This should make the border "print" white and therefore will not show up.
