We had to reformat an XP Pro workstation (that has the HP DesignJet 700 plotter as local printer on LPT1.) Before reformat, plotter worked fine.

I downloaded HP driver from HP website: called PL 532en.exe.
Install appears to go fine, but after installed, it does not show Arch C (18” X 24”) or Arch D (24”X 36”) as size choices for printing in Cad 2004 or Acrobat X.
I downloaded driver again, I deleted & re-installed plotter. Same results.

After installing using the printer drivers from HP website, printer name comes up as “HP DesignJet ColorPro CADb”.
I researched and found this is a printer with a maximum print size of 11” X 17” Could this be the problem?
From HP site, all 700 series (700, 750, 755 printers) drivers are the same PL 532en.exe (zipped) file
Prior to hard drive reformat of this workstation, the plotter worked fine, BUT I have no way of knowing WHAT the previous driver was, as it was deleted in the reformat.

Anyone have a similar problem they got resolved?

Go to the printer properties for the plotter under Windows and see if there's a tab for "paper standards" or similar. If so, make sure the arch sizes are checked (sometimes unchecking then rechecking the box seems to shake it loose).
