Has anybody else had difficulty plotting to an HP 1055CM when plotting maps with aerial images from ArcMap or Adobe Acrobat?

I could type a long post of the different drivers and settings I've tried.

Lets just say I've tried network PS3 driver to print server, HPGL direct via TCP/IP, PS3 direct via. TCP/IP

Different spool settings, process in printer vs. process in computer.

Currently I spooled a 34 mb file to the plotter and it shows on the PC end that the job is sent, but the plotter says receiving....20 minutes later still receiving.

Plotting from AutoCAD via. HPGL driver works every time, even with images. I've even had to go to the length of adding a PDF as an overlay and plotting it from AutoCAD.

Other PC's have the same problems.

Anybody have any suggestions other than using it for target practice?

You might want to try changing the settings in the windows printer driver to "print directly to the printer" this would be under the advanced tab in the printer properties.

I'll give that a try, thanks.

Weird thing, I sent 3 plots out yesterday and they all spooled and plotted in 10 minutes (after messing around with it for several hours).

It's just not consistent enough for me to nail down.
