If it is a point file you want upload into Magnet software, then you can load the points onto the Tesla as either a text file (comma delimited ASCII) or even a CR5. I would take care to put the file in the I/E Files folder (I/E meaning Import/Export) because that is where Magnet looks for such files by default. IF you are used to the CR5 format, it will work. I personally prefer the text file because that is a file I can easily read in any text reader, whereas the contents of a CR5 can only be read in specific programs.

The process would work very much like it does in Survey Pro (Spectra Precision/TDS) or SurvCE (Carlson). You must be in an open job file in order to import the points, so you would first either open the Magnet .mmj file that you want to import the points into or create a new one.

Then go to the Exchange menu (the new Magnet name for Import/Export) and go through the option menu to bring the points into the open job.

The method I outlined is for points only.

If you want alignment data, you probably would want to us a Land XML export in ForeSight and the reverse in Magnet.
