I have a cad file that i am trying to open and it starts and then just quits.
Is there anyone that could try and open and save or verify that it is corrupt for me?

Thanks,
Thad

Don't know what kind of file you have or where you have it stored, but I have noticed that sometimes if I try to open a file (DWG) directly from an email attachment that is what happens to me. However, if I put it in a folder on the hard drive it works just fine. You might try that.

Otherwise you may try sending it to me at:

Did you attempt to perform a "Recovery" on the file? I forget exactly where it is but I think if you pull down the "File" tab and go to "Drawing Utilities (maybe...?)" there is an option for audit or recover... Sometimes that works.

I've had this happen a handful of times. I typically go to my settings and find out where the AutoSave file is located, copy it out of that directory into my project directory, change the extension on the autosave file to dwg and the extension on the corrupt file to *.corrupt, so that I can remember it later when looking. All but one have fired right up when doing that. This is also why my autosave is every 2 minutes. I figure I can redo 2 minutes of drafting. 🙂

Good luck!
