I've boogered something up on mine recently and don't feel like going all tech support for it, but I thought you all might be able to help me (as usual).

When I extend a line (really a polyline), either by distance or bearing it used to be part of the original line, but now it is not. Also, when I extend a line several times, it will put nodes or grips in the place in the line that it stopped instead of just extending it and it being one solid line. This can be a huge pain when you are trying to clip/trim ends and it's really frustrating.

Any help is appreciated.

Carl

Carl,
I've tried to recreate the problem but have been unsuccessful. Have you tried pedit?

Edit: I'm using 2008 standalone (Whoops)

I can't replicate the behavior either (using Carlson 2011 with ICAD). A few questions:

1. Carlson 2007 was not offered with the IntelliCAD engine. If you click on Help -- About Carlson, can you tell me what the product and build number are?

2. In my testing, I was using the Edit -- Extend -- By Distance command. Are/were you running something different?

Ladd,

It's on my other computer, I'll get to those this afternoon.
