Yes, it is used by FDOT and worked very well.?ÿ Basically, in an overly simplified explanation.?ÿ Think of it as an electronic field notes.?ÿ Not intended for calculating corners but just for logging data for processing in the office.?ÿ It was one of the granddaddy programs as far as auto linework goes, the chain file was used by CAiCE to draw linework.?ÿ Chain file was simply a list of point numbers with a description of what they meant to show such as edge of pavement.

I worked in the field. I was never concerned with SPC, although we once tied a traverse into monuments with SPC values. What field hardware are you running EFB on?
Was looking at putting Cefb, the windows mobile version on my DC6 for doing route surveys where coordinates are not needed in the field.?ÿ Run topo, hitting TBMs, then run level last and create coordinates at the back end.
