Spiral Calculation Civil 3D ?

Morning,

We are trying to lay out a tangent to spiral to curve to compound curve in Civil 3D and are having a problem with the sequence entry for the spiral. Any step by step type explanation of how to enter the spiral would be appreciated, not sure of what we are missing.

(Assuming you are using alignment creation tools) spirals are always tricky. It sounds like the one you are using has the graphical setout part where it will show a red-circle/cross when a solution is not possible, but when you move the pointer to where a solution is possible, it will suddenly jump to a green line/spiral. If no solution is possible it will stay red-circle/cross.

Hmm, alignments with spirals and compound curves are quite easy with InRoads.
