I know I was able to solve this issue before after reading someone's reply previously but could not remember it or locate it here.
I need to download TS data from an old Topcon GTS-230. Previously we use Topcon Link on WinXP.
But most PCs now run Win7 Pro. The XP machine just won't boot up today. Need to reformat that but it
would take the better of the day to download/find all the software & drivers.
When I download using Topcon Link v7(?), the software just stops working & crashes.
Anyone knows the solution to this?

Is it crashing on opening the program or are you unable to even install it? You could try a system restore and reinstall if it is the first.
Installing via "Run as Administrator" option has no problems. It's when I am trying to start the download process that it crashes.
