The difference is that StarNet actually works, Morty.

Even if you can get it to work in C3d you will not be able to simultaneously adjust GPS vectors and terrestrial measurements. StarNet Pro does that easily.?ÿ

I think the fact that it's been more than a day since you posted and nobody has come to the defense of C3d's adjustment routine says all you need to know.?ÿ

There are other workable LS adjustment packages available other than StarNet. SurvNet, packaged with Carlson is one.?ÿ LGO, a Leica product and/or TBC, by Trimble might be hanging around your office.?ÿ There are others.

But if C3d is all you have to work with it's going to be better than not adjusting at all. As you know I strongly believe in adjusting data and I do it mainly to weed out blunders.

I have never used Star*Net, but I have used Civil 3D a lot and let me tell you something. DON??T ADJUST/PROCESS DATA WITH CIVIL 3D.?ÿ

You better adjust your data using LGO or Trimble Business Center and then export it to Civil 3D as a dxf or csv/txt for the points.?ÿ

Civil 3D is a very good and powerful civil software, but it is not very user friendly with survey calcs.?ÿ

+1
StarNet, TBC/TGO are your best bet.
