Has anyone found a way to export KMZ or KML files from Civil3D 2014? I'm really getting sick of AutoDesk. In 2012 I could export the files right out of the box, now I have to pay a third party $241 per year for that privilege. I get less software for my $1500 subscription every year. I really love the fact that there is now way to go save back to previous versions. If it was not for my clients requirements I would switch yesterday.
Thanks in advance
John
Head to the Free Stuff section of the DotSoft website and grab MAPKMLEXP.ZIP. It works with any Map (2000 or higher) or Civil3D (all versions). It should export your AECC objects such as alignments, etc. Be sure to read about the included KMLEXP command so you can export text, blocks or just about anything else.
Thanks for the link & the routines,
Chr.
Thanks, I'll give it a look. I ended up exporting the stuff to 2011 and exporting it that way. Still find it funny that I have to have 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2014 to meet the needs of my clients to provide simple little things like DTM's and points.
Did you download a copy of MAPKMLEXP.ZIP? I would like to get a copy of it, they no longer have it up on there website.
Thanks

Could you also send me a copy of it too? Email in profile is good. Thank you very much.
would you please send me the zip file for that software also?
Thank you,
Justin
Do happen to have the MAPKMLEXP.ZIP file? I have to deliver KMZ along with all of my drawing files as a deliverable, and I just had a couple of clients move to 2014.
Thanks!
