I have a buddy that uses an old CG cad program. I sent him a *.csv file and he's having trouble getting it into an existing drawing.

I took a look at it for him and couldn't see how to import an ascii file.

Anybody remember how to do this?

TIA

Dugger

It's been a long time, ten or twelve years and I don't remember the details, but seem to remember it took a header which delineated which column had what. Wouldn't hurt to check the 'Help' files or manual.

Doug,

I have what is probably the earliest version of C & G windows with embedded Autocad. In the top toolbar there is a tab marked CGFile. Click on that tab and a dropdown menu appears. Hover over Coordinate Files and another dropdown menu appears with the option of importing ASCII file into Coordinates.

See of you can find it.
