We have just updated our office software to the Carlsons 2018 (2020)and are in the process of retiring a few old ranger III??s with Survey pro and considering moving over to the Carlson data collectors. Rumor has it they will run our topcon and spectra equipment. Anyone have experience with the data collector and software of the Carlsons? Any issues or complaints or recommendations? I am without specific personal experience in this area, but Carlson's stock in trade is working with many different vendor's equipment. I'd be very surprised if it can't run anything Topcon or SP.

You are correct in the fact Carlson is good at recognizing different manufacturers. I have downloaded a demo of the latest Carlson SurvPC. I noticed the latest Topcon receiver was GR-5 and the latest Spectra was a SP80. However I was able to connect some SP85??s thru the SP80 protocol. Not sure what units you have but hopefully this will be helpful.?ÿ
