I was provided a TIN from another entity and need to compare some field data that I collected to it. I need to calculate the cut/fill for each of the points I collected. Is there a way for me to process this in Carlson?

If you're interested, There's a very simple way to do this with the Civil 3D tools.

Only if that TIN is in your system and correct. Otherwise all bets are off.

You should be able to accomplish this... which version of Carlson are you using? If you'd be willing/able to supply me with the data you're working with and an indication of Carlson version, I'll see if I can document a work-flow for you.

All thank you for your help. I was able to use the cut sheet command in the survey menu to accomplish what I needed to do.

This brings up a dialogue which lets you load a set of as-built points and then a TIN
