I am trying to enter the SurvNET world to gain a better understanding of the accuracy of the work that I do. I use Leica equipment and cant seem to find the GPS vector files (.asc?) required to process GPS data. The software doesn't seem to like the .dbx files. Any Leica users out there have any success with SurvNET?
Thanks!
On the RTK Rover with SurvCE, File > Job Settings > Options,
[ö?] Time Stamp Each Point
[ö?] Store Accuracy in Raw File
[ö?] Store GPS Vectors in Raw File
[ö?] Apply "GNSS Analysis" to average identical GPS Pts: IDs or IDs+DESC
Tap/Select [ö?] Green Check mark
The RTK Vector matrix data gets written into the Job's .RW5 file.
You can use the Carlson Office Utility X-Port software to view the RTK Vector data, inport/export into SurvNET, or Excel, or other Least Squares software.

Thanks Bob, SurvCE is the DC software correct? I use Leica's Smartworks software on the data collector and it exports .dbx files as its 'raw' file format. I am able to convert those to a rw5 raw file, however the file doesnt contain the required vector data. I will look through the Leica DC software and see if I can find something similar to what you do with SurvCE. Thanks for you help!
Surveyor85,
Yes, the SurvCE is the Carlson SW data controller S/w. The X-Port is also a Carlson Office S/w.
Since your using Leica Smartworks S/w and controller, do you have access to the Leica GeoOffice, LGO S/w?
I would recommend transferring the Leica format files, (DBX) into LGO, you'll be able to see the Leica RTK Base and all your RTK Rover Baselines.
The RTK Base will have "Reference" Point Class, you can Adjust the Latitude, Longitude and Ellipsoid Height values for the RTK Base,
LGO will automatically adjust the RTK Rover points positions, relative to the updated RTK Base position.
In LGO, you can also Export out the RTK Vector data to an third-Party Least Squares Adjustment S/w.
I used to work for Leica Geosystems as a regional, (New England), Technical Support Engineer 2004-2009 during System1200 GNSS + System 1200 TPS days.
I believe you can purchase basic copy of LGO fairly inexpensively to work your RTK Data and Projects.
Your regional LGS Dealer, or perhaps Mark Williams, PLS with G360 can advise you further on Leica's LGO availability and pricing.
