I'm doing a lot of topos and contouring lately. Some of them are in separate dwgs, others are in the same.
I prefix my triangulation lines and contours with the name of the triangulation file. So, if the tin file is called Portland, the triangulation lines are on the layer, Portland-TRI_LINES, and the contours are, Portland-CTR.
My question is, is there a way so that when I go into a dwg and go to update/add to a previous topo, that Carlson will remember my surface prefixes when I pick a surface?
Right now, it defaults to the last surface that I opened and contoured, whether it's in the same dwg or different one.

You might experiment with the Save and Load Settings options:
I hope this information helps.
