I received an ascii point file in my Carlson drawing and it was set up as "easting-northing" instead of my usual "northing-easting". How do I change it back to "northing-easting"? Thanks.
Go to the points pull down menu and select coordinate file utilities. Then select the "swap northing and easting" button. Hope this helps

Hmmm, I have Carlson 2006 and I do not notice any "swap northing and easting" buttons in "Coordinate utilities".
I believe the import points from ASCII files allows you to specify nearly any combination of fields.
You could edit the text file in your word processing program and THEN import...
When importing look for an option of P,N,E,Z,D and change it to P,E,N,Z,D. Hope this helps.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Gun Man got the answer also. I knew there was an easy fix, it was right before my eyes.
