Is there a way to change the text style/font in the point blocks? I want to change the description font to something more attractive, like Aerial...

You can always isolate the layer and change the font that way.

I don't know of a way. Mine are up and down and I freeze them for the final as I hate paper space.

How would I go about isolating the layer? without exploding the points?

edit: I isolated the layer but I can't find the style or font selection..

I isolate point layers by typing "Isolate" then clicking on a point. It freezes all other layers but that one. I do think that the elev and desc. need to be thawed though.

I just tried it. Isolation is no biggie, but couldn't change the font of the block without exploding.

Seems like there could be something in the set up, but I couldn't find it.

Sorry bro.

Most likely the name of the text style used by your point is PTXT. If you type in the command "STYLE", you can edit the details of the text style. You'll want to select PTXT from the style selection drop-down box, then change its font to ARIAL or something else you like. The change should be immediate.

Hope this helps.

Another way (In 2008 Carlson anyway) is to go to program files/carlson 2008/sup template and edit the dwg file for the point block that you use. I use point style 2 so I went into svpno2.dwg to reflect the colors and text styles I prefered. Works for me.
