I'm trying to get Carlson to default to the .crdb file type when I create a new project. I've changed the default to "Carlson SQlite" under Settings, Carlson Configure, General Settings, Coordinate File Format but when I create a new project Carlson still sets the coordinate file name to JobNumber.crd rather than JobNumber.crdb.

Any ideas?

This appears to be a bug and I've dispatched information as such into the Carlson programming team. In my testing, Carlson is producing an alphanumeric CRD rather than a CRDB. The only solution I have at the moment is to start a project with a CRD and then issue the Points -- Coordinate File Utilities -- Convert CRD File Format command.

If I manually key the file name with a .crdb extension during the project set up, Carlson sees the extension and allows me to create points with long descriptions. I'd just like it to be automatic so I don't have to waste that bit of time on every job.

Thanks for taking a look at it Ladd.
