I am downloading Bluebeam Revu for the first time.?ÿ Any comments, tips, tricks, suggestions, etc...?
It??s my favorite pdf editor.
* easy zooming and panning in your drawings
* check the split screen function for checking multiple documents
* great synchro function to review different versions. That works great for reviewing in spli screen mode, when you navigate in one document, the second synced windows wil zoom and pan to the same places.
?ÿ
We use it to redline maps that we review. Much better than Adobe. There are lots of videos on youtube showing the various features. The split-screen is great for multi-sheet maps, you can look at multiple sheets at one time.
We have Bluebeam at work. I have formerly used Adobe and Fox-it for pdf editing. I don't have a strong preference for any of the three as an editor. They all have pluses and minuses.
Bluebeam has some project collaboration feature which set it apart from the others.
Fox-it is by far the cheapest.
Thanks, fellas. ?ÿIt occurs to me that fewer customers moving forward will have printers at home to print and sign my proposals to return them as contracts.
I wonder if there is some easy way for me to create a pdf proposal that I send to them via email (which is how I have been doing for years) but now also somehow make it very easy for them to digitally sign and return to me as a legal contract?
The vast majority still elect to save the 3.4% credit card fee and snail mail checks for the (now clearly stated non-refundable) retainer fees, so this really has not been an issue yet.
Docusign.
Over that last 5 years or so almost all my my contracts with my general contractor clients have been signed via Docusign.
Also, I've signed all initial documents for two different mortgages using Docusign. (Final closing docs had to notarized so that had to be in person.)
I've not been the initiator of any Docusign contracts so I don't know the process or what it cost, but it could be what you're looking for.
?ÿ
Regarding credit card fee: How about adding a 3.4% charge for "Administrative Fees" to all your itemize bills?
I'm a fan of Foxit.?ÿ I use that as my default for viewing and marking up PDFs.?ÿ
Unfortunately I just have the free version, so for serious editing, rotating, inserting or extracting pages I use the adobe that the co has installed for me.?ÿ?ÿ
I am also looking at joist.
I should have probably started a new thread for this topic.
I just paid $300 for DocuSign.?ÿ I am encouraged.?ÿ Looks good.
Love Bluebeam works great on our iPads. It??s nice to have a set of plans up in bluebeam and other things such as PDF??s up in other windows as to easily flip back and forth.?ÿ
I was thinking about buying foxit.?ÿ I've only tried that and adobe and I've never really liked adobe.?ÿ I thought bluebeam was a heavy duty software geared towards large engineering companies.?ÿ Do you think it would be good for a small shop or would it be a waste of money?
Fox-it works fine for standard pdf editing tasks, including digital signatures, at less than half the price of the others. It does tend to take some extra time when dealing with large files (say 100 pages or more).
