We need to lay out a 25' grid on a runway. I would like to calc the points in running order so that the crew can just end the group from the first to last point in the DC.

Does C3D have a Point creation function that will work in a zig zag/back and forth manner?

I'm not familiar with C3D but in Carlson I would create a polyline with the pattern and auto create points on the polyline.

Search this forum for "Boustrophedonically". You should find a solution there.

There must be a lot of airports that need grid layout - this question seems to get asked about once each year.

That was enough to trigger a few brain cells Andy. Created a P line and created the points by incremental distance along that line. Hold down the enter button for 17.5 miles to define the line, hold down the enter button for 17.5 miles to create 3600 points.

All of about 20 minutes;-)

Thanks Andy...

It's easier to type and say "zig zag" so I'll stick with that.:-P
