Anybody using or learning AutoCAD Revit? Is it difficult to learn and did you learn by yourself or classes?
I used AutoCAD Revit Structure for a project a few years ago. I started with working through all the product tutorials and watching Youtube videos. It was a little rough at first but I felt like I knew a enough to be dangerous after a couple of days. Project had a lot of budget so going slowly and taking my time to figure things out wasn't a concern.
I took a class pertaining to Revit. We basically followed a text book (which had some errors).
With some direction from the text, things, of course, went fairly smoothly. Push this button, now push that button type thing. So, if someone sat me down in front of the program roughly 6 years after I took the class, I doubt I'd remember much (like anything at all). But it didn't seem too hard at the time.....
It isn't that hard to learn, just more of a different way of looking at a problem. That said, I don't like it as a design tool, but, like ACad it is the industry standard now
Is there such an AutoCAD Revit? I think AutoCAD and Revit are two different platforms. Yes, they are both from Autodesk.
Architect tool.........;-)
