I need some help with some issues with LDT 2007 which just started last week, they maybe related. The double click for text edit is not working, when I go to double click on text, the first click brings up the grips like it is suppose to, then nothing happens on the next click. I either have to go to the properties fly-out or type ddedit to edit text. The other issue is I am not able to select an object first, then select a command like list, erase, ect., I have to select the command first then select the object. Another problem I am having is that when I tough an object, it will not tell me what layer it is in or let me make it current by clicking make current. On the double click issue, I have checked the CUI and the only thing that may look strange is there is a red line through the mouse icon. Has anyone had this problem or can help me with this?

Not sure about the second problem but the first sounds like the noun/verb option is deselected under the selection tab of your options ui.

Or, from the command line set PICKFIRST variable to 1.

0 Turns off PICKFIRST; you select objects after you issue a command

1 Turns on PICKFIRST; you select objects before you issue a command

Good luck . .

I am not trying to be smart here, and you probably already tried it but don't forget to reboot.

Also maybe OPTIONS --> PROFILE (then just create a new one). This recently helped me with some strange layer command behaviour.

Good luck.
