I am trying to learn how to use Civil 3D going from LDD, getting some training and help with setting up styles. My question is how do I get the display units for angles to display degree, min, sec instead of decimal degrees? I have made a tool pallet with some tools on it for drawing lines by turned angle and inquiring the angle between lines, but they only seem to take decimal degrees as input or output. I have tried changing some settings but have not found the right one or combination. If I list a line it is showing the bearing in degrees, minutes and seconds but not in my tools.
TIA

Type in "units" and change your angle units to surveyors. Should do the trick

E,

Best to change that in the Ambient Settings Tab of Drawing Settings.

Thanks Dave, I don't know if I would have found that. I had already had it set to surveyor units but that did not work in the tool routines.
