There is a new version of Trimble Access hot off the press today

For me the best new feature is Web Map Tile Services (WMTS)

I can now have the NZ Topo Mapping direct on the controller

I'll have to check the update notes to see what all was done.</div><div>

It would be nice if they fixed a couple bugs...

1.) the join point box bugs out and won't close in certain circumstances (I forget exact order but opening the box, entering number, clicking out of box, reopening box and entering a number and hitting enter or some combination of this stuff breaks it)

2.) when georefrencing a .dxf the window bugs out and won't close after you hit the store button at the end

These are repeatable bugs I see on the TDC600, not sure if they also happen on the 5 or 7.

Hey, Strandly,

Thanks for those two leads.

I'm trying to get my head around them

- when you talk about the 'join point box' are you thinking the one on the CAD toolbar?

- is the georeference issue easily repeatable? If so can you share a job and dxf.

I'd like to have a wee play...

Cheers

No problem.

I use the toolbar to start the join command which opens separate window where you either type the number of the point you wish to join to, or click on it in my map window. It's that window where the only thing in it is the box to enter the point number that gets stuck open.

And yeah the georeference thing happens every time for me. Neither of these things appear to prevent the operations from doing what they're supposed to do; it seems to be a purely graphical glitch.

I'm in the office tomorrow so I'll see if I can round up some files to send you.
