Just wondering if anyone has been able to create a PDF from AutoCAD that is a non-standard dimension. I have a survey plan that is 24 feet long and Acrobat won't let me create something this large. Is there software out there that could create this size? Thanks...

I've done a 36"x84" in autocad. Set it up in a layout and export out as a pdf using that page layout..

It will take a super computer with a very fast processor and a lot of ram to pull that off.

You may need to knock it down into five 60in lengths with match lines or think of passing on the actual drawing file stripped of any propitiatory information.

😉

BTW what are you going to use to lay the paper drawing on? I have never seen a 24 foot long table before, but I am still holding out hope I will get invited to a royal dinner.

I just tried creating a custom paper size in Preview (Mac's PDF program)...No problem.
Is the source file a pdf already, or a CAD file.
I can output it the size you want and print it on our plotter (that has roll paper), and send it to you.
Or do you just need the file those dimensions?

The Dwg to Pdf option in AutoCAD 2013 maxes out at 200 inches but when I use the Adobe pdf I can get it to go much larger. Choose Adobe Pdf as your plotter, then select properties, select the device and document settings tab, then click the custom properties button. In the new dialogue box, switch to the Layout tab and click the advanced button at the bottom. In the drop down list of paper sizes, select Postscript Custom Page Size and edit to the size of your choice. The limits displayed indicate that the minimum is 1" with a max of 25,000". Also be sure to specify that you're feeding it narrow edge first in the Paper Feed Direction field.

30 water front lots going for $2.0 million a pop. 2 double wide lots went for $4.75 million. Serviced lots with no house!

Could it be that AutoCAD is using Reader instead of Professional?

It's possible. I'm running AutoCAD 2013 with Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Not sure what versions Brad is running, but his photos match what I see when I run through the steps.

Would it be the end of the world if you had to break it in the middle and print it as two sheets 12 feet long?

Bull Zip allowed me to Post Script to 25000"s but then truncates the final PDF to 34x48...
