Hal Needham, world famous stunt man/coordinator, died Friday. "Hooper" and "Smokey and the Bandit" were a couple of my favorites. What an amazing career that guy had.

Musician Lou Reed died this morning. I wasn't really into his genre of music but I do have his "New York" album [CD]. I loved the lyrics. One of those songs has a great line: "And the Ayatolla's got him a nuclear warship. If he dies he wants to go out in style." I always get a kick out of that one.

Marcia Wallace

She was the smart-mouthed receptionist on the old Newhart show set in Chicago and she did a million voiceovers because of her distinctive sound. Some would recognize that voice as that of Mrs. Krabapple, the fourth grade teacher on The Simpsons.
