RIP Bob. Bob worked for Topo at one time and although we never shared a truck or worked together in the field he was one of our cadre.

He no longer worked for Topo and hopefully someone will fill in the obit and rest of the story. I believe he was currently working around the Midland Texas area.

Another one leaves us much to soon. Only 50 years old.

I received this from Andy Nold yesterday.

It is with heavy heart that I inform TSPS of the passing of Bob Overton, RPLS 5916. Bob passed away on November 27, 2010. As you may know Bob was a surveyor here in Midland. He had worked for Topographic Land Surveyors and other surveyors for over 24 years. Recently he joined my firm. Bob was serving TSPS Chapter 10 as our current President Elect. He was very active in the community and with sports in general. Below is a link with more info about the viewing and funeral services. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

I thought you would like to read this obituary and leave a tribute in the Robert "Bob" Overton guestbook:

Sincerely,

John Watson, RPLS

TSPS, President

Thanks, Deral. I had limited computer access yesterday.

I only met Bob a handful of times, but he was always good to talk with.

Angel,
You always seem to find the kindest words at time like this.
