Part 108 still isn't final

If you've seen a headline saying the FAA finalized Part 108, it hasn't. At least one industry site ran exactly that back in the spring and later corrected it.

Where it actually stands: the rule went to the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs on July 10 and was still listed as pending review there as of a couple of weeks ago. The Federal Register docket still shows it as a proposed rule. OIRA's standard 90-day review window closes around October 8, though it can be extended.

So BVLOS work is still Part 107 and waivers for now.
