Dude, lighten up a little.?ÿ

Another over used word is dude.?ÿ I've even heard girls call each other "dude"?ÿbut that seems to going away.

Several years ago I was at my sons baseball game and it had just rained a little bit.?ÿ Me and another dad were standing by the metal bleachers.?ÿ A teen about 16 years old walks up to the end of the bleachers, sees they are wet and takes his hand and quickly swipes the water off, all over the guy next to me.?ÿ He notices what he did and goes "duuuude, I'm sooo sooory".?ÿ He looks at me and says he isn't so upset he got?ÿa little wet but that the kid called him dude.

"Impact"--save it for molars and meteors and use "effect" instead.

"Perfect", used (mostly by millenials) in response to just about anything said around these parts.

Careful Wendell or I'll have to report you to the authorities for introducing religion and politics, all with one word . .?ÿ

antidisestablishmentarianism: noun. 1. opposition to the withdrawal of state support or recognition from an established church

Winston Churchill was once upbraided for splitting an infinitive. His retort: "That is mere pedantry, up with which I will not put."

"No problem"; when preceded by a thank you. What happened to "you're welcome"?

?ÿ

or "My pleasure" when you are at Chick-Fil-A.
