Friends,
One of you has snitched to the authorities at MDA about my criminal ways. Now they are putting me in jail on May 23rd at 1:00pm. They have set my bail rather high. My only hope is for you to help me raise the bail or I'll be stuck there. Please use the link below to contribute whatever you can. I've already used the web site and found that it's easy and fast to use. These people at the Muscular Dystrophy Association seem pretty committed to this cause so I don't see them letting me off easy. For you guys who order surveys from me, keep your receipts and I'll deduct the amount from you next order.

Thanks to you all, except the one who turned me in.

Respond with cash, keep track of how this is working out and let me know. If positive:whistle: , I'll be sending out some mail.

I've always considered putting the e-mails of my adversaries onto as many spam lists as possible. It would just be too cruel...
Yes, it is best to send cash in these cases.
Tom seems like a straight shooter.
Guys, this probably a real donation drive. Note that the link is to donate to MDA. I've heard of this before, where you pledge to raise a certain amount, and then you show up on a certain date to an event, and if you didn't make your pledge amount they put you in a fake jail. I'm sure this is just for fun.

> About MDA Lock-Up
> The Lock-Up is the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s premier fundraising program. These high-profile events occur all across the country at various times throughout the year. Business and community leaders agree to be "put behind bars for good," where they utilize use their vendors, co-workers, family and friends to get donations that will go toward their “bail.” Each Jailbird has weeks to raise their donations. That way, on the day of the Lock-Up event, they can enjoy the Lock-Up experience by networking with other business leaders and meeting with the individuals and families that they’re helping in their community. All funds raised by the MDA Lock-Up assist the Association in providing lifesaving research, a nationwide network of medical clinics and accessible summer camp experiences to individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases.
Well, in that case, let the scum-sucking dirtbag rot in jail for at least a week, then send your donations to:

Looks to me like some guy who went to one of your seminars had your contact info in his outlook contacts and just e-blasted all his contacts in an attempt to help a local charity raise money.
As someone who's on the fundraising committee for my local free clinic, cold weather shelter, and Habitat for Humanity; I generally reserve the term "scum-sucking dirtbag" for those who don't give back to the community.
I found a cool donation site!
While on the subject of donations, I found a really cool donation site!
While here at Beerleg, simply click on the “about” tab above and then click “donate”!
Hell even I figured that one out.
Y’all have a great weekend!
(and watch Kyle and Kevin get into it at Darlington B-))
It was a year or two ago that early Saturday morning a call came and the conservation started out that I was to report to "address" in Texarkana to be jailed until I could gather $xxx funds to be set free. A Mr Smith had turned me in so he could get a smaller bail set for himself.
It was some fund raiser event.
Still I told them that I was going to stay on the run and if anyone wanted to drive around the lake and find me, whoop my arse or take a whoppin then come ahead cause I wasn't going far the whole day and would be available, goodbye.
Never heard of them before that day and since that day.
😉
Tom's not a scumbag or a dirtbag....
Looks like his (teffinger) only post on this forum was back in February when he was helping the family of a deceased solo surveyor sell the surveying equipment.
Tom was a USDA-Forest Service surveyor for 30 years and when he retired back in 2005 he was the supervisory zone land surveyor for the Medicine Bow, Bighorn, and Shoshone National Forests in Wyoming and Routt National Forest in Colorado. Our Park County courthouse holds some of the surveys he did for the Shoshone NF.
Now he has his own practice in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, at least until his scheduled incarceration. 🙁

The ettiquette of a mass email isn't so good, but since it's a well known, legitimate charity and a good cause "scum-sucking dirtbag" is a bit harsh.
