I am very pleased to report minimal impacts from the second Moderna shot on Friday.?ÿ Of course, there is the standard sore spot on my arm but no significant discomfort even when rolling onto that shoulder in my sleep.?ÿ I had a very mild bit of stuffiness and sinus headache feeling starting about 24 hours after the injection that went away within four to six hours.?ÿ There was some muscle ache here and there but I attribute most of that to spending most of Thursday digging holes in county roads (gravel, dirt and paved) to recover monuments plus the standard tossing around of 50 lb. bags of cattle feed.

Mrs. Cow had her second injection about four hours ahead of mine.?ÿ Her arm became quite sore and she became very worn down feeling by the end of the day Saturday.?ÿ She also had the minor stuffiness and sinus headache.

Chatted with a client Thursday morning who is in his forties and works as a firefighter.?ÿ He had been one of the early ones to get vaccinated.?ÿ He reported day one following his second injection was no impact at all.?ÿ Days two and three were when he felt like dog crap (his term) and could barely get out of bed.?ÿ Had some chills and then spiked a temperature of 102.?ÿ Popped some Tylenol, crawled into bed, slept and sweated like a Husky in the tropics.?ÿ Woke up feeling like a million bucks.

Here's hoping everyone who wants to be vaccinated can do so soon.

Had my second Moderna vax two weeks ago Friday.?ÿ Had a restless night afterwards but no real symptoms.?ÿ My arm was sore for a day or two also.?ÿ

Here's to "getting back to norbal".?ÿ Maybe now I'll go get a haircut.?ÿ?ÿ

My wife and I got our second Pfizer shots a week ago today.?ÿ I had no reaction beyond arm soreness so mild that I had to thump my arm to see if it was sore at all.?ÿ My wife was down for a day and half with a fever, body aches and a major headache.

My wife had nothing but minor sore arm from either Pfizer. I had nothing my first Moderna. Minor fever, almost headache, swollen spot,, and poor sleep from second for a day or so.

I hope these work on the variants. The sooner we get most people around the world vaccinated, the fewer variants will arise to deal with.?ÿ

Had my first Pfizer jab last Friday. So far side effects have been limited to a general sense relief and an itch to travel.

I was told the sicker you are the better it's working. I got my second and felt really good, so I guess it didn't do anything. SWMBO had her first last week and it really was awful for her. She isn't looking forward to #2.?ÿ

In Sunny FL you have to stand in line for 6 hours even with an appointment. To me that in itself puts me at more risk than I willing to take.

If you make a political contribution to the right person you can be innoculated privately at your convenience. That route made headlines a few times so I'm not sure it's still ongoing. (Miami) ?????ÿ

@mightymoe

Months ago received a flu shot in one arm and a second shingles vaccine in the other at the same time. Next day could barely drag myself out of bed and felt like I'd been hit by a truck so I assume they worked REAL good. Hoping the 2nd Pfizer doesn't pack the same punch as that last cocktail.

A coworkers uncle contracted Covid and died from it shortly after getting the first shot, stay diligent until immunization is complete is the take away.

I do believe I was experiencing some lingering effects of the vaccination today.?ÿ About 8:30 this morning I realized I was winded like I had already walked a couple of miles.?ÿ Rested a spell and went back to standard fieldwork.?ÿ Again, about 5:00 I had the same winded feeling they I had not had since early morning despite hitting it pretty darned hard in between.?ÿ Doing fine now as I prepare for a very long monthly Rural Water District board meeting where we are going to eliminate one of our three employees.?ÿ This will be a first time experience in the 25 years I have been connected with this board.

Chatted today with a friend who had COVID in December.?ÿ He had his second shot a week or so back.?ÿ Told me it was significantly worse than the bout of COVID he had already had.?ÿ Apparently, the vaccine carries quite a punch for those who have already had the virus.
