Bill Hicks
Louis CK
Bill Burr
This is difficult as I almost never see a comedian in action anymore. Thirty to fifty years ago they were on TV variety shows routinely. The Tonight Show would turn them loose several times per week. Ed Sullivan hosted some of the very best. I do not consider scripted monologues in the same category as comedians.
One group I enjoy consists of Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall. I don't consider them to be great comedians, but they will get me to laugh.
Some of the best humor I find these days is right here on Beerleg/SurveyorConnect.

Y'all have a great weekend! B-)
I saw a Johnny Carson show a long time ago, and he had on Buddy Hackett, Sid Caesar, and Don Rickles. Oh man, what a show. Each separately, they're good, but together they were Blockbuster!
Sadly, a lot of Carson shows have been lost (how in heck can that happen?) so we can't ever see it again.

For keeping you in stitches with long monologues, Bob Hope and Robin Williams. Can't get a chance to breathe. The Hippy Dippy Weather Man will do for the third, George Carlin.
:good: :good: :good:
Bob Hope and Bing Crosby ad libbed a lot of the Road movies and Bing wasn't a comedian.
Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
For insults no one could beat Groucho Marx.

And most of the "In living Color" Alumni, the Wayan Brothers have some good stuff.
