Got a chance to play electric bass at a local music festival last weekend with about 2000+ addendees. Loads of fun! I'm the guy with the Bass pointed the wrong way...
Perry, could you move over just a bit so we can see, I mean, hear the keyboards players better? :>
That is one unique looking telecaster the guitar player is pickin' on. Do you know anything about it?
BTW - Don't some folks call that "silly handed" instead of "left handed"?;-)
Paraphrasing Crocodile Dundee ...
That's not a band..
This is a band!
Author is the blonde. surfie guy in the centre clutching the alto sax and the femme vocalist.

Great call, Kent. I couldn't "see/hear" them like I wanted to either. Perry, can you turn the keyboards up to 11 please? 😉

Show off. Playing the bass backwards.
Looks like a lot of fun. What kind of music were y'all playing?
who doesn't love some hippy blue grass girls?? Looks like a lot of fun.
And shouldn't he be all the way to the other side of the stage?? I can't tell you how many time my bass player whacked me in the head while I was drumming!
> Don't some folks call that "silly handed" instead of "left handed"?;-)
Either way, it's just not right.
Shouldn't that read:
"And shouldn't he be all the way to the other side of the stage?? I can't tell you how many time my bass player whacked me in the head BECAUSE I was drumming!"
😛
That's great. Now I'm going to go through the rest of the day with the Grateful Dead's 'Playing in the Band' playing in my head.
Some folks trust to reason
Others trust to might
I don't trust to nothing
But I know it come out right
Say it once again now
Oh I hope you understand
When it's done and over
Lord, a man is just a man
Playing
Playing in the band
Daybreak
Daybreak on the land
Some folks look for answers
Others look for fights
Some folks up in treetops
Just look to see the sights
I can tell your future
Look what's in your hand
But I can't stop for nothing
I'm just playing in the band
Playing
Playing in the band
Daybreak
Daybreak on the land
Standing on a tower
World at my command
You just keep a turning
While I'm playing in the band
If a man among you
Got no sin upon his hand
Let him cast a stone at me
For playing in the band
Playing
Playing in the band
Daybreak
Daybreak on the land

Great. Now they sound like Donna instead of Joni Mitchell and Gillian Welch.
Thanks for that Williwaw. Remind me to reset the HI next time I pass one of your pods set up along the road...:-P
while the music plays the band
looks like a great time Perry, it appears we are everywhere. which festival was this?
Not Bluegrass
No bluegrass with this band or I would be using an upright and would have to shoot the drummer.
We played some original music written by the two ladies, and a couple blues tunes, plus some Wilco & Billy Bragg and topped of the set with Ripple by the Dead (it was the Jerry Jam). We also played a Dillon Tune called Moonshiner. We actually played on 3 different days, each with a different set. The music that the girls wrote is sort of an Annie DiFrance/10,000 maniacs type feel.

Jerry Jam in Bath NH. (Jerry Garcia)
more info in Facebook.
This year, we had the Jerry Garcia Band w/ Melvin Seals on Keyboard. Here's some videos of some of the bands. (quality not great, but you get the idea)
some craziness by the Van Burens
Not Bluegrass

Why do I want to visualize them singing "Walt Whitman's Niece" 😀
Was it 4:20?

That explain the smoke hanging in the air; in the second photo; in your first post...;-)

Sounds like EVERYONE was having a GREAT time.
PS-I like the tie dye..:-D
Was it 4:20?
( in my best percieved Jud voice).. "There was a time in 1967 when me and my platoon would have stopped in and given them dirty hippies a nepalm bath with our flame throwers."
come to think of it, he was probably giving me the "ONE"!

Heavens No! But if it was, I'm sure it was medicinal.
