I was not complaining about the cost. Just questioning a business model that closes up shop from 11 AM to Noon every day. It certainly makes UPS and FEDeX look more attractive to me.
Don't Like Postal Service? How about gov't Med. Care
That's going to be fantastic......NOT!!!
For God's sake, if they have difficulty delivering postcards why in the sam hill is this country stupid enough to want them in our medical care? I guess it's all about "free" stuff now, what a joke.

I like the subtle shift into P&R... some people can't help themselves

Everybody say "bye bye" to the nice man.

Ban half a dozen more posters who have the impulse control of a chimp on crack and you can bring back P&R for the grown-ups. 😉

A Chimp on Crack!
ROTFLMAO, that was a good one:good:

Now that was funny.
It also shows you are REAL serious about p&r.
Stay the course!
Wow, this makes me feel real special with our mail carrier. She's a gem! She'll actually come to the house or office with a package rather than just stick it a notice in the box. She, also, will automatically forward mis-addressed mail form any of my former addresses (three in town). She also will forward my sons mail if he gets any...
She gets presents at Christmas 🙂
Also, one of my better friends is a mail carrier, and he's a fine person!
Don,
There are actually quite a few good ones out there. I have known several. But the bad ones are REALLY BAD.B-)
UPS and Fedex have their screw-ups also. I have my house number posted prominently on one of the front porch columns. UPS left my T2 on the neighbors porch two doors down who also has her house number posted.
Not impressed with UPS- around here- poor hrs and depending on the driver- poor service and crappy attitude.
even tho we live in the "burbs", we still have our own mailboxes and not a neighborhood group of boxes in one location. Mail is consistant with delivery, and I'd be glad to pay more for the service if they would stop delivering junk mail. I get frustrated with ripping my name and address off mail I have no interest in reading or responding to. Some of these groups - Salvation Army and St Marys food bank to mention a couple, will bombard our home with mail once you respond once with some cash to help out a good cause. I've called and begged them to stop the barrage of mail, but to no help - so I frankly stopped supporting those charitable groups, and found others locally to support. bad enough the "resident" or "occupant" trash mail, but when name and address are even on the inside of the mailer, I'm a bit upset at the wasted time on both ends.
ok - Monday rant is over, sorry.
Many years ago
(50+) my father was a County Commissioner. One of my aunts who lived in California sent my sister and me a gift. It was addressed as:
"Mandy and Andy
Care of Commissioner Tony
Leesburg, Ga."
We got it delivered to home - no problem. It sure was nice growing up in a REALLY small community.
