The local radio guys were talking about him this morning - one related that he was interviewing Meatloaf back during his comeback (90's?). They asked him how they did the Phil Rizzuto part, they always just used a tape of Phil - the radio said "can we do it?" First I'm actually surprised that Meatloaf agreed to this, the guy related his story of being backstage with his partner at the time and memorizing the cue cards, when Meatloaf came up (with Tony Saragossa in tow (it was Super Bowl time and the game that year was in Phoenix)) and says "DON'T "F" IT UP!" that put the fear of God into them apparently. The reason that I say I was surprised that Meatloaf allowed them to do that part is that I've heard an interview with him where he said that if someone else does that part they can never keep the right tempo and it can really screw up the band (pretty much the same thing with CDB's "Devil went down to Georgia").
