I have 2 lunchboxes- 1 is barely big enough to hold a 6 pack of whatever- the other is about 4 inches larger in all dimensions- the bigger one is what I usually use, but sometimes I take the small one if I happen to forget to bring the regular one home for some reason. This was the case last week- when I??d used a different rig while my normal g-ride was in for a service-. It just so happened that the days the lunchbox was left in the loaner were The hottest of the year. This resulted in a couple of ??science projects? when I eventually fetched it home. When I was washing things up, ??Someone?? had a bit of an over-reaction- you??d have thought I??d put the pooper scooper in the dishwasher or something....
you??d have thought I??d put the pooper scooper in the dishwasher or something....
Well how else are you to clean it? Geez, some people are wound too tight!

I think someone is startin' to pick on me.... ??ÿ
I carry a jug of trail mix.
My lunch box has four wheels and takes me to the nearest eatery when necessary.

Years ago I was on a construction job and got to know a few of the?ÿcrane operators from the IUOE (operating engineers).?ÿ One in particular was a 400 pound fella that wore the biggest pair of bib overalls I have ever seen.?ÿ And yes, his nickname was Tiny.
Tiny would climb in his cab at the beginning of his shift and climb down at the end of the shift.?ÿ He would spend?ÿsometimes 10 hours a day in his roost.?ÿ He drank a lot of coffee and that always bothered me...
But what was most interesting was his lunchbox.?ÿ This was back in the day before "Igloo" lunchboxes.?ÿ Tiny had?ÿone of the?ÿlarge rural mailboxes he used to carry his viddles.?ÿ
It had decals from all the local unions on it and had his name proudly painted in big letters on the end.?ÿ He carried it with a leather strap affixed to each end.?ÿ I bet it carried a bunch of chow.?ÿ At any given time during the day you could look up into his cab and he was eating.
?ÿ
I still use the the same lunch box I had in 1976. An Igloo 12 pack carrier. I won it at in a raffle at a Credit Union Christmas Party.
Still use the same Plumb Bob, too...
I hope you don't use it for the same purpose Tiny did after chugging that much coffee?ÿ ??ÿ

I started using a Tiffin a number of years ago and haven't looked back!

In 50 years of surveying (come September), I can count the number of projects on my fingers,?ÿwhere it was even possible to drive somewhere for lunch! Unless a 4-8 hour (or sometimes several days) lunch break was an option.

Mine has four compartments, half a sandwich in two of them, chips, and then fruit in the fourth...?ÿ

Should've taken a picture of the plumb-bob too...

I used one of these for my first job after college (technical writer at a defense contracting firm in Seattle)
