I wish I could export today's weather to you all.
There is a chance of rain today and tomorrow, also it has been raining since last night on the west side of the Cascade Mountains.

We got a few sprinkles around 4am this morning, but that's it. Love this weather. 🙂

Yea Wendell, but we get those funny anomolies called "monsoons". Gonna get some more in another 1/2 hr or so. Kinda cool to sit on the porch & watch.

As a former midwesterner I know what those dog days are like. I'll take 110 here over 95 there any day of the week. Stay safe anybody outside in that crap - it's serious stuff, especially as we advance in age and grace.

Carl, maybe some office work to do... don'cha think :drink:

You guys are makin' me feel wimpy, it got into the 70's yesterday and today and I'm feeling it. What's it gonna feel like when I really get acclimated? I sure don't miss the Mid Hudson valley this time of year, at least Eugene didn't feel that humid, but it would get hot.

You lower 48'ers watch yourselves and be careful, it can't be said enough.

It got to 95 today before the rain came and dropped the temp to 79. It is now back up to 85.

Much better than the last few weeks of High 90's to 112.

The heat index was 120 degrees at 4:00 P.M. yesterday afternoon at the office. Luckily I was on a construction site where the heat index was a cool 111 degrees.

Be careful out there. There is nothing macho about having a heat stroke.

At this time, there is a crew hauling small square bales of my hay and stacking them in a barn. Notice that I am chatting on BeerLeg. I have paid my dues and now get to pay those who are still paying theirs.

I sure miss the Arizona monsoons!! Wendell and I lived in Tucson for 5 years. During monsoon season he would go sit under our patio and just watch and enjoy natures show. Not me!! As soon as the lightning started I'd run inside. I didn't want to get zapped. 😛

Monsoons...

The only thing that beats some of those humbling awesome monsoons (yea the lightening too) is the Northern Lights. But it's kind of interesting to read about the idiots who drive through the washes at the wrong time, and they find them 1/4 mile downstream - hopefully alive.

But I'm sticking with Aurora Borealis for the grandious anomoly of my simple life. Totally amazing!!

I wonder if they have them in OZ? Radu?

Wow, that is not even close to our night time low temps here in S. LA. We have been running b/w 78F-80F for lows, w/ highs in the mid to upper 90's. But what really cooks you is the heat index of 105F+.

When you factor in temperature-humidity index here, 100°F usually feels like 95°F. Unfortunately it rained yesterday enough that the humidity is floating near 48%, so today 100°F feels like 116°F. Sigh.

I also sympathize with the mid-continent folks. Here in the Sacramento area I think our normal average high for this time of year is around 94°. Today's high predicted to be 79°. If that's too warm, we can drive 90 miles or so West where the high in San Francisco is predicted to be 58°. Brrr.

We had a really strong on-shore flow last night complete with an overcast layer of advection fog from the coast.
