They say it's REALLY gonna get hot later in the week..
It's been a record setting month of July in Oklahoma. The link mentions previous highs in 1936, 1954 and 1980. Those are the same three years oldtimers talk about here. I remember June of 1980 being outrageously hot with July and August just being miserable.

They are seeing highs in the mid 50s under a marine fog layer.

Yesterday it hit 108. Today is expected to be WARMER! It ain't warmer. It's more hellish. Expecting to hit 110.
Lawton Weather this week and they do take the official temperature at the airport in the shade.
It's been like this for 56 days and counting.
The plus to this is my neighbor made some fresh cookies. Yummy.

Soldiers in Iraq
I suffer in the heat, especially being from an area that doesn't get that hot.
BUT-I was looking at the temperatures in Baghdad. 122 day/95 at night. You really got to feel for our soldiers deployed there-especially the ones that have to go out on patrol. Body armor, fatigues, heavy pack, I don't know how they do it.
dang, you need to move to south Florida.. NEVER gets that hot here...
