?ÿI hated JAWBREAKERS ?ÿ(invented by a dentist) no matter what was in the center.
How about y??all? Name some of your favorite candy as an adolescent.
I'm 8 for 8. Chocolate babies only a few times at Halloween.
I loved to mix a bag of peanut M&Ms with a bag of original corn nuts. OK, I still do, actually.

In spite of falling prey to the allure of all of those sweet confections, I still have all of my original teeth, at 74 years, minus the one molar that fell victim to a sinus infection from inhaling suspect adulterants back in the 80's.

Can't believe they left out WAX BOTTLE CANDY
Can't say I remember eating chocolate babies; but I probably did...
I hated JAWBREAKERS
You don't eat Jawbreakers; you suck them!
I can't believe they didn't mention candy corn-- some of the most disgusting candy of all time, imo.?ÿ The only candy on earth where if it was made yesterday or in 1890 it would taste the same.
You don't eat Jawbreakers; you suck them!
How are you supposed to suck them when your teeth are grinding away like a tire shredder?
I ain't biting my tounge over no dam jawbreaker. ?????ÿ
Several, but in limited frequency.?ÿ As mentioned, possibly as Halloween treats.?ÿ Delicious Snickers, Paydays, Milky Ways, Zeros, Three Musketeers, M&Ms with or without peanuts, Hershey Bars with or without almonds and Butterfingers were the best of the best options.
Bomb Pops!!! And Candy Cigarettes!!! Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?????ÿ
I don't recall the "chocolate babies" but all of the others I've had. Had both versions of the candy cigarettes, the gum version and the chalky "tums like" version.?ÿ
Big League Chew was a must have when I was playing baseball.
Jawbreakers were always good but man I LOVE the gobstoppers, especially the "chewy" ones.
These days it's starlight mints and that's about it.
I remember all of those but Fun Dip was something my kids found.?ÿ ?ÿBig League chew was a personal favorite ..?ÿ?ÿ
Agree with the comment above about the wax bottles, they were a fav, and also gross.?ÿ?ÿ
About 1/3 of them. Some of them I'd never seen before.?ÿ
All but the "chocolate babies".?ÿ Were they a regional item?
Any other geezers here remember when a common candy bar sold for five cents??ÿ Sales tax didn't apply on a sale of less than 15 cents, so you could get two candy bars for one thin dime.

A handful of returnable Coke bottles picked up along the road would get you another Coke AND a candy bar.

Oh, by the way ALL soft drinks are Cokes.?ÿ It doesn't matter who bottles it, it's still a Coke.

@bill93,?ÿ In my 70 years I've only lived in the Southern states - so that is where my point of reference is placed.?ÿ I've never been north of Chattanooga for more than a few weeks at a time.
