I have mixed feelings about this game. I normally support the SEC, but I like Clemson's coach and quarterback. So the vote is Bama because they are SEC.

I'm still a firm believer that any given team can win on any given day.

Which team is better physically prepared?

Which team is better mentally prepared?

And the most important when it comes to competition...which team wants to win the most?

They are both outstanding teams. If Alabama runs that big running back Bo Scarbrough all night or scores a defensive touchdown, it will be a long night for the Clemson Tigers. The Clemson D will wear down in the third and Alabama wins pulling away.

On the other hand, Clemson has the best player in the nation at Quarterback. Watson is unreal. If they get out front early I'm not sure the vaunted Tide has enough explosiveness to catch them. Their freshman QB has less than 200 yards passing in the last 10 quarters. The defensive showing Clemson put up against Ohio State was a special performance....

Not a fan or hater of either team. This game has the potential to be great.... But, they are kids and you never know.

I don't have a dog in the hunt, but I like the Clemson coach and the beatdown they put on Ohio State was impressive, to say the least. Looking back at the Alabama - LSU game, I think a great defense can slug it out with the Tide and Clemson's quarterback will be the X-factor. I think it's Clemson's year.

If Clemson can force Bama to throw on 3rd and long they can win. If Bama can run all night I predict they will win. Both teams impressive; I just heard Alabama has won 9 straight title games (includes conference) without a loss. Saban is from my state (WV) so I hope they win!

Just heard the over / under is 51... I'll take the under.

Those over/under bets are dicey in college football. If the game ends tied 24-24, the OT format could result in a very high scoring game.

I've been waiting for the Bama freshman QB Hurts to have an off game or get his bell rung all year but he gets stronger each week.
But I'll give Clemson a slight edge here especially if the teams are tied in the 4th quarter.
Bama has to pile up points early and then let the D take over.
If they do that they win.
Might be who has the better kicker.

None of the above. It's all mythological anyway. As was mentioned, just about anyone can beat just about anyone else on a given day with the right circumstances.

They're both physically and mentally prepared and at this level when you play for a championship, they play to
Win.
So just pick a team and quit with the dime store platitudes.
It's just odd that the consensus preseason picks 1-2 made it to the championship game.
Enjoy the game, it should be interesting.

I did. In the survey I was the second vote for Clemson.

Sorry Nick, not your night.

Clemson better get the lead out if they're looking for a "W"...

I'm one of those people who must pick one side over the other in any sport competition being watched on TV or listened to on radio or witnessed live. Anything from chess to middle school volleyball. The choice might hinge on anything from team name to the color of the uniforms. Somehow, one side must be chosen. As reported several times in the past, the side I pick will then lose far more frequently than win. Well, maybe, just maybe the curse is weakening. Somehow Clemson managed to win last night despite my decision to cheer for them.

Great game, I'm a Browns fan and wouldn't mind them picking Watson at #1. We also have #12 pick as well- too many positions needed (a lot of past #1 busts). I have saw the Browns may pick Peppers (Michigan) at 12 or a Defensive Lineman at #1. That NC QB is also projected to go high; probably poor idea to play rookie QB in situation like Cleveland.

Does anyone know how to find the correct list of officials for last night's game? All seven names.
