Happy Thanksgiving from SurveyorConnect to you, your family, your friends, your pets, your neighbors, your front lawn, your bathroom sink, etc. 🙂
I'm thankful for a lot of things. We've had a lot of tragedy lately but it sure makes me thankful to have had those people in my life and those that surrounded me during those times.
In regards to this website, I'm thankful for all of you that are (still) here after the big move to new software (which appears to be the vast majority of you, yay). I'm thankful that we have a place to visit, discuss and learn from each other. I'm thankful for the camaraderie of folks here... quick story: a user here and I were chatting about a board issue and at some point he offered dinner and his home for the night to my wife and I for our journey home. That is just one example of the hospitality and kindness I have seen here and I am very thankful for that.
What are you thankful for?

Gobble, goggle, gobble (cnttakwimouful)
"What are you thankful for?"
SWMBO, Surveyor Connect, You and Angel, (Including Miranda and Taco) the openness and expertise of all of the members on this site.
Also it would take too long to list the things I am thankful for.
The only other thing would be World Peace, which does not seem possible.
Give my best to Angel!
You runnin' fer Ms. Americur? (whirled peas)
Yer startin ta sound more and more like NN!
Been grazing in the "medicinal pasture" prior to overeating I see.
Happy Thanksgiving! (Whippersnapper)
I'm thankful that I have a loving family and that we live in a country that allows us to enjoy that, freely, without fear.
I pray for those that don't.
After a two and a half hour nap I just got around to eating a piece of pumpkin pie. Second round of the daily pills will be at six o'clock.
Do you remember Jim Petty, the alleged proprietor of the Roadkill Cafe? We used to have some great conversations attempting to "out hillbilly" each other with our butchered words and phrases. We met up in Fayetteville, Arkansas one time while we both had daughters attending the University of Arkansas. He tot mee whell.
Jim Petty is a hoot 'n ah half. He tossed me the SOTW back in the day.
I'm thankful for fambly 'n friends...and fer all y'all here at the 'Leg...

Thanks Wendell, for letting us have a place where we can get the best answers to all of life's questions.
I'm thankful I'm not evil; NOBODY likes you if you're evil.
SOTW = Surveyor of the Week
That was a great series. We learned so much about each other and the various paths we followed to get where we are today. Some of those routes appeared to be leading somewhere far, far away yet somehow made a twist to land in Surveyorland.
Perhaps we could get something like that going again today, if we could get Wendell to make the initial selection. As I recall, the SOTW selected the next one in the series. I think there was only one who chose to refuse the honor so a second selection was finally made.
I agree; I read a lot of great stories because of this.
I remember Gene Kooper started it; he nominated Jobo Glidden. Some troll was giving Jobo shi... crap about responding to every single post that came along. Eugene wanted to encourage Jobo to keep posting. Joseph Glidden was a huge source of information. I really miss the old guy.

RIP Jobo...
Joe had a calming influence on us. He had a way of making everybody welcome to a discussion.
I second the bovine's suggestion @ SOTW

Mom & Pops Cash came back to life at the Thanksgiving table today. Holden & I got into "remember when..." and before long the table was cleared and we were still talking and laughing. It was good to laugh with my brother about things that only he and I can remember. The love from Money Penny and the rest of the clan was just icing on the cake.
Today I was most thankful for family. Then the cold front blew through about 3:30 or 4:00 PM. After that I was thankful for hoodies that had been stashed behind the truck seat since last winter...;-)
I'm thankful that we don't have our bash until Sunday. Gives me some time to build up my resistance to 100,000 carbs. Youngest granddaughter has a birthday on December 1, so every year at Thanksgiving we have a birthday cake on top of all the other items in the standard feast.
This time could be especially entertaining. Oldest granddaughter plans to bring along her boyfriend who her dad dislikes tremendously. If Dad gives some big speech about how he isn't good enough for her I may have to inform Dad that he wouldn't have been in the top 50 choices if I had been able to select my daughter's husband. Things could get interesting after that. Oh, and for extra fun, the hostess this year is my ex-wife. She and husband number three have a lovely home well suited for the purpose. We recognized the 30th anniversary of our divorce earlier this year so there are no problems related to that to worry about.
You've got enough goodies in that second paragraph to make a soap opera!
I have never gotten hooked on soap operas. I live in one.
We recently had a thread about "Which came first" that brought out a lot of career histories.
