GREAT NEWS!!!

We just got most of our stolen equipment back (except the bag and battery) from the CA Highway Patrol! Even more amazing, it still had the power cable attached.

Special thanks to Inspector Boucher at the CHP!

We put numbered equipment tags on every piece of equipment. The one on the GPS unit was gone, but the ones on the adapter and tribach were still there. It has our Company name on each tag too. What idiots.

Apparently the guy in Texas (the one with multiple identities) has a father in So. CA who has ads on Craig's List here stating that they will buy used electronic equipment. So he buys it for a couple grand and then ships it to his son in Texas. About the time ours got stolen, Stantec had one taken in Pomona. So the Pomona PD and the CHP are now working together. Stantec just got theirs back too! The Pomona PD and the CHP may have gotten the original thief too!!!!!!!!!! I think the guy in Texas and his father are out what they paid for the stolen equipment.

Sometimes the good guys do win!

A big shoutout to steak10 for getting the whole process started! Thanks!!!

It's not a total win until all parties are prosecuted. When this is being done across state lines, many times that doesn't happen. Do you know if it can be proven that the Father/Son team knew the stuff was stolen?

If you can, keep us informed on the prosecution.

Glad to see you get your equipment back.

James
