A friend of mine from the aviation side is the President of Appareo, and they have recently developed a really cool tracking device, alarm and software to aid in the prevention of theft of bicycles called "Galeo".?ÿ Jeff is project manager for this application.?ÿ However, my brain right to how it might be a huge value for preventing theft of surveying equipment left unattended like a GNSS RTK base or a robotic total station.?ÿ ?ÿHe had no idea this was a problem, and how expensive the surveying equipment is.?ÿ Check it out at:
