Been looking for a forum like this for a while. Civil Engineer here, but getting into surveying. I'm really enjoying the technology. Got to admit it was the advances in GPS (RTK) and drone technology that got me into it, now I just upgraded my relic Set4B with a robotic 5603DR. It's probably a relic to many but I only get out in the field maybe 1 or 2 days a week for a few hours, so it will be a while before I'm dropping $20k on a TS.
Great time of year to be working outside, well except for the ticks, bugs, thorns, poison ivy, briar, barbed wire... Let's say I got a lot more respect for the guys who work in the field. Looking to hopefully sit for the PLS someday and hopefully pass what I learn onto my kids.
